Monday – The new vocabulary words for our story were introduced to the students today, except for classes C and D, because of the assembly and pep rally.  The story for this week is “Ta-Na-E-Ka” on pages 135-141 of the Elements of Literature book.  Classes A, B, and C received the vocabulary/story study guide.

Homework: “When I Was Your Age…” worksheet; due Wednesday.  This will be due Thursday for class D.  Bring your library books tomorrow.

Tuesday – Library day; study guides were given to class D.

Homework: Open house is from 5:30 to 7:30.  Pizza will be served at 5:00 in the cafeteria.

Wednesday – The story “Ta-Na-E-Ka” was read together in class.  Homework was checked and discussed for classes A, B, and C.

Homework: The vocabulary quiz over the words for “Ta-Na-E-Ka” will be Friday.  The study guide includes the five words and definitions.  These can also be found on page 134 of the reading book.

Thursday:  Classes B and C had a lesson on internal/external conflict, comparison/contrast, and making inferences.   Classes A and D discussed the story and began working on the study guides.  Class D also checked the homework assignment given Monday together.  All of the classes had a vocabulary review.

Homework: Study for tomorrow’s vocabulary test.

Friday:  Vocabulary test; complete workbook pages on “Ta-Na-E-Ka.”

Homework: Have a great weekend!
