The students continued working with adjectives today.  We checked Friday’s work together and completed some exercises from the yellow books in the classroom.

Homework: Workbook page 21/22, front and back.  Students were to tear this out of their workbooks today and bring it home to complete.

Each student needs to know the last four digits of his or her social security number by tomorrow.  This will be used as the student’s library code to check out books.  The students have been told this during the previous two library visits.  Any students who do not know their codes will not be allowed to check out or renew books during our library visit tomorrow.

Monday – Finish vocabulary chart; test on “All Summer in a Day” is Friday. (On Monday, a vocabulary study sheet was given which included the four vocabulary words and their definitions.)

Tuesday – Study vocabulary. (”All Summer in a Day” was read and discussed together in class. A study guide for the story was completed.)

Wednesday – None. (A story map containing literary elements was completed in class; a pronoun review was also done.)

Thursday – Study the story study guide; your test over the story is tomorrow. It will include the four vocabulary words. (In class, we had a lesson on informational texts, which can be found on pages 53-55 of the literature book. Class C also read the first chapter of the Breakfast Serial “Desolation Canyon” from the Collierville Herald.)

Friday – Test and journal in class; no homework; have a great weekend! : )
